To obtain a duplicate registration, provide the following:

• VRL-MVR502 - Application for Duplicate Registration - must be completed by a registered owner.

• $5.00 fee

If mailing in application, do not mail cash.

To obtain a Certificate of title and there is no lienholder listed on the record, submit the following:

• VRL-MVR503 - Application for Duplicate Title -

Must be signed by all listed registered owners either with a public notary or all owners must appear in person with valid government issued photo identification to one of our locations. 

• $5.00 fee

If mailing in application requires notarization. Do not mail cash.

To obtain a title with a record that has a lienholder listed, submit the following:

• VRL-MVR503 - Application for Duplicate Title

Lienholder must complete and notarize the application for duplicate title and also submit a lien release letter. We do not accept a lien release letter in place of the Application for Duplicate Title.

•  $5.00 fee if just requesting a duplicate but it will be $10.00 if also removing lienholder form title. Unable to remove lienholder if registration or safety inspection is expired.
